HERTS YOUNG HOMELESS

Classic Ibiza at Hatfield House is delighted to be supporting Herts Young Homeless (hyh), an independent charity that supports young people in the county without permanent, stable or suitable accomodation. Besides rough sleepers, homelessness includes those who are ‘sofa surfing’ with friends and extended family or living in hostels.

With their Head Office in Hatfield, hyh provides a variety of free services to 16–24 year olds who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across Hertfordshire. They focus on preventing homelessness by supporting people to make positive informed choices. Offering free, county-wide services such as mediation and education they aim to reduce family conflict and prevent homelessness. Where this is not possible, the charity also offers crisis services, a helpline and housing support.

Nicola MacKinnon, hyh’s Community Fundraising Officer: "We are thrilled to be partnering with Classic Ibiza at Hatfield House this year. It is such a high profile local event which will help us to spread awareness of our services as well as raise funds. We are looking forward to enjoying the party too."

There will be various fundraising initiatives taking place on the evening, including a £2.50 donation from every set-list lanyard sold, a recommended £5 donation from press and guest-list entries, as well as collection points at all entry and exit gates. Further funds will be raised at the hyh shop, selling a range of fun merchandise. An Enthuse page has also been established for those people wanting to donate beforehand.

Classic Ibiza’s Lisa Ward: “It’s great to be teaming up with hyh to support the amazing work they do in Herfordshire. Demand for our show at Hatfield has been strong again, so we hope to help them raise considerable funds.”
